(NEW YORK) It's been quite the year for Prabal Gurung. In the ten months following the February 2009 launch of his collection, the former design director of Bill Blass has earned raves from Cathy Horyn, seen his designs worn by Demi Moore, Rachel Weisz and Thandie Newton, and watched his wares end up on the racks at Bloomingdale's, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Ikram. No wonder he's showing Fall 2010 in a major way--with a runway show at Bryant Park. Gurung will hit the Salon on Saturday, February 13 at 4 p.m..

"For the third season, I felt it was the right time to broaden the scope of my vision for the collection, which requires movement down a runway," Gurung said. "Bryant Park is the perfect venue for doing just that. I am incredibly excited and looking forward to that moment when the lights go down."

A 5-year veteran of Blass, Gurung was born in Singapore and grew up in Kathmandu. While living in Dehli, India, he apprenticed under several designers and houses including Manish Arora. Gurung then travelled the globe, spending time in Melbourne and London, before settling in New York City in 199. As a student Parsons, Gurung interned at Donna Karan and then spent two years on the design team at Cynthia Rowley before his tenure at Blass.
