Calvin Klein Takes South Korea
(NEW YORK) Pre-fall collections may be currently bowing in Manhattan, but for Calvin Klein Collection, the place to be is a bit further east. The brand announced today that it will present the Spring 2010 men’s and women’s collections this Thursday in Seoul, South Korea, with Francisco Costa, Italo Zucchelli, and Calvin Klein, Inc. president and CEO Tom Murry all in attendance. The event, to be held at Kring Creative Culture Center, will be more than just your average (albeit Calvin) fashion show--Costa’s women’s wear collection will be presented in collaboration with an installation by Korean-American artist Jean Shin, who was approached by the company and created her installation after working closely with Costa. Shin recently held shows at both the Museum of Modern Art and the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C. The women's collection won't be the only one to get an artsy spin, however: Zucchelli’s men’s wear will be displayed in a presentation created by British curator Neville Wakefield.
