Frédéric de Narp Heads to Harry Winston
(NEW YORK) Less than 24 hours after Frédéric de Narp's official departure as president and CEO of Cartier North America, his new position has been announced. De Narp is the new president and chief executive officer of Harry Winston, Inc., which is owned by Harry Winston Diamond Corp. Thomas J. O'Neill, who formerly held the position, is stepping down.
De Narp joined Cartier in 1991, and was named president and CEO of Cartier North America in 2005. An affable personality, he is often credited with updating the brand's image and improving its celebrity relations, most notably with the launch of the very popular Love campaign. As previously reported, his successor at Cartier North America is Emmanuel Perrin.
During his tenure, O'Neill grew the Winston boutique network over the last five years to 19, with stores throughout Asia and elsewhere and parlayed the firm from a family owned business to a publicly traded group on the New York Stock Exchange. At Harry Winston, de Narp will report to Robert Gannicott, the New York-based house's chairman and CEO.
