(NEW YORK) The Fashion Footwear Association of New York’s shoe show is coming to town again, and to celebrate, even MoMA’s getting on board with les chaussures. ANCI, the Italian Footwear Manufacturers’ Association, has compiled a collection of platform shoes from a variety of Italian museums to exhibit at MoMa’s Educational and research center in a new show, “Inner Treasures.” Spanning from 1930 to 1975 (disco era alert!), the shoes will show the history of the high-heeled wonders--which continues on even today (Versace Spring 2010, anyone?). The exhibition will open on December 3 with a cocktail event and viewing, with noted platform advocates Giuseppe Zanotti and Alejandro Ingelmo expected to attend.-
