More Mugler in Paris?

Comments | | Print

(MOSCOW) A women’s Thierry Mugler fashion show in Moscow this week could be a preview of things to come for the brand.  The brand’s RTW designer Rosemary Rodriguez showcased a mix of new creations and archived pieces during Volvo Fashion Week in Russia, but we hear she’s just warming up for Spring/Summer 2011. Mugler shut down his couture division in 2003 and re-opened in 2008 under the helm of Rodriguez, the former head of design for Paco Rabanne--but although Rodriguez has presented several menswear collections for the brand, she has yet to show womenswear (though a small capsule collection was presented last summer). Mugler has privately set next October as the re-launch date for the ready-to-wear effort--to be shown in Paris--with Rodriguez fully in charge.
