Toasting the Twins
(NEW YORK) Confirming a story The Daily first reported back in August, Teen Vogue hosted an intimate party Wednesday night at the Gramercy Park Hotel celebrating Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s upcoming December/January issue appearance. This marks the first time that the magazine will feature a split cover and the first time the girls will appear on two separate covers simultaneously. Among those joining Amy Astley for the occasion were Patrick Demarchelier, Anna Wintour, Julie Gilhart, Phillip Lim, Thakoon Panichgul, Vena Cava designers Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai, and the lively Rodnik designers, Brits Richard Ascott and Philip Colbert, who defied superstition to open their parasols indoors as the Olsens excitedly took photos with them. The talk of the night focused on the following evening’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund awards; afterwards, Mary-Kate was joined at the Rose Bar by her boyfriend, Max Snow, where they partook in a nightcap.
