"As long as we do things with integrity and believe in them and are passionate, I don’t think we’ve sold out. Whether it’s an $11 flip-flop or a $2 key ring or a $2,000 dress, they’re all done with integrity. They’re all done with a design sense. As long as the creativity exists, then I don’t think it’s a sellout. A sellout is putting your name on any piece of crap and then expecting people to buy it because it’s got your name on it. That’s what a sellout is to me." ---Marc Jacobs to Robert Duffy, in Interview

Interior guru Bill Sofield has designed boutiques around the world for the likes of Tom Ford, Bottega Veneta, Yves St. Laurent, and Gucci—but his latest project is taking him straight to Lincoln Center. The designer has been tapped by American Express and Architectural Digest to design the interior of the American Express Skybox, a venue in the tents overlooking the runways of Lincoln Center. Featuring a lantern originally commissioned for Grauman’s Chinese Theatre and created by a protégé of Louis Comfort Tiffany, the Skybox is nearly as chic as what will be coming down the runways.

Naturally, this means that Mulberry's fête on September 14 will be on our list: not only is it located on the roof of Soho House, but Chic hears that Florence And The Machine will be on hand for a live performance...
